That’s me in the picture on the right – Alex Hickey \u2013 a Nova Scotian singer-songwriter who writes catchy, down-to-earth folk and country songs about poisonings, love, bicycles, feminism, economics, cellphone service and many other things.<\/p>\n

I’ve been taking a hiatus from live performance for most of the past 3 or 4 years, but I continue to write songs (always) and enjoy sharing them out in the world.<\/p>\n

I’d be willing to bet that I have a song that will make you smile (My Knees are Pushing 40,
\nBut My Heart’s Just 17<\/em>). Or laugh (Buy More Buddhas<\/em>). Or well up with tears (Moonshine & Mischief<\/em>).
\nOr all of the above (The Minnie Pearl<\/em>).<\/p>\n
